Factoid: Diminishing value
Teams don’t value running backs like they used to, and this year perhaps more than any other. No running back will be selected in the first round, and I’m not sure that one will even be selected in the second. more »

Around the NFL: Dobbins and Edwards
As anticipated, the Chargers have signed running back J.K. Dobbins. With Gus Edwards also under contract, they've got both Ravens main runners from the last few years, the offensive coordinator (Greg Roman) from most of those teams, and I notice the head coaches (John and Jim Harbaugh) even have the same last name. Spooky. more »

Factoid: New York Giants
The Giants are an interesting wild card in the top 10. Are they looking to replace Daniel Jones? Or are they more interested in getting him some help, which could potentially involve trading back? more »

Around the NFL: Royce Freeman
Dallas signed veteran running back Royce Freeman yesterday. It's doubtless a small-money contract, with Freeman a journeyman who won't necessarily make the final roster. But the remote possibility of him opening as the team's starter must be considered. more »

Factoid: LA Chargers
Taking a careful look at each player (which is what I do at this point of the year), something interesting tends to bubble to the surface with most of them. Case point for today, Will Dissly. He’s been a lot better than I thought. more »

Around the NFL: Offseason overhaul
Looking at the league-wide offseason transactions, three teams have been especially busy in terms of loading up on free agents and/or making trades. One was one of the better teams last year, hoping these moves put them over the top. The other two were among the worst. more »
Factoid: Chargers WR
The Chargers don’t have Keenan Allen anymore. Mike Williams is also gone. Some new receiver, it seems, is going to have to rise up to relevancy in that offense. more »

Around the NFL: Aaron Rodgers
I'm not a fan of Aaron Rodgers. I mean yeah he's a jerk of course, but I also think 40-year-old quarterbacks who tore their Achilles after just a handful of plays a year ago are poor investment opportunities. But I can't deny that if he stays healthy, he could be a fantasy steal. more »

Trivia: April 15, 2024
Russell Wilson and Justin Fields started most of last year for the Broncos and Bears; now the Steelers have both of them. When was the last time a team during a season started two different quarterbacks who the previous season started most of the season for other teams? With the other pair of quarterbacks, one is still active, while the other wishes he was. (Pittsburgh, of course, hasn’t actually done this yet – it remains to be seen if both Wilson and Fields start games). answer »
