Factoid
The Raiders used to be the league’s ultimate prime-time performers. With a kind of aura/mystique, they went 24-3-1 on Monday Night Football through 1985.
But that magic is now long gone. Since that time, the Raiders have been one of the lesser Monday night teams – just 12-20 in the last 22 years.
And they’ve been particularly putrid in prime-time games recently. In the last three years, they're 0-6 in games played on Sunday, Monday or Thursday nights, and they’ve scored an offensive touchdown in only one of those games (that 41-14 loss to Denver in week 1 – guess we should have known at the time that the Broncos’ defense was going to be bad).
