Factoid
Who would have thought, when Darren McFadden and Felix Jones were selected in the first round of the draft, that come December, the highest-scoring running back from that Arkansas offense would instead be Peyton Hillis?
But that’s where we at. The seventh-rounder (originally projected to be a fullback or H-back) had a nice run as Denver’s featured back until being placed on injured reserve with a torn hamstring yesterday.
Touchdowns scored by Arkansas rookie running backs:
6 Peyton Hillis, Den. (343 run, 179 rec)
4 Felix Jones, Dall. (266 run, 10 rec)
3 Darren McFadden, Oak. (405 run, 166 rec)
