Around the NFL
Frank Gore won't be active, reports Adam Schefter of the NFL Network.
This should make DeShaun Foster a very good fantasy player this week.
Foster isn't much of a player -- a below-average No. 2 tailback -- but the 49ers are playing against a woefully soft St. Louis run defense. Foster has a good chance to run for 80-plus yards against this defense, and he'll also be productive as a pass catcher. He caught 5 passes for 25 yards last week at Miami.
Also: Chad Johnson (hamstring) won't play at Cleveland because of a hamstring problem.

I know this is last minute, but big championship game and freaking out over the choice. Still Garcia over Cassel? I tend to always go with your aggressive picks, but is it as windy in Foxboro as you might have thought on Friday?

The weather is horrendous - and getting worse. Play Garcia, their weather will be fine. He and Bryant should have a nice game, plus they have something to play for.

Thanks Brad, I'm going to stick with Garcia...Ian's projections have gotten me this far. Why go against them now?

Sorry, I didn't notice the comment until right now. Weather looks almost unplayable in Foxborough. Wind and snow. On New England's first drive, I however, I did seem them go into a three-receiver shotgun formation when they were down around the 5, which surprised me. That drive ended with the LaMont Jordan touchdown plunge. Hopefully you went with Garcia.

Sorry, man. Weather looked almost unplayable to me, but I see that Cassel is already over 300 yards, with 3 TDs. Garcia should at least be OK for you. He's at about 230 combined yards, with a TD pass and a TD run.

Ian, Garcia definitely did enough for me. Please don't worry for a second, you have played a huge role in my success this season. I was in 3 fantasy leagues this year, and I am on pace to win all 3 of them. You and David Dorey played huge roles in my success. You might have one of the greatest jobs in the world. I'm envious of both your skill and profession.
