Edgerrin James could be a free-agent target of the Buccaneers, according to a report by The Tampa Tribune.
James, the report says, has told friends that he’s interested in signing with one of the Florida teams. The Dolphins have Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams and the Jaguars have Maurice Jones-Drew, so Tampa Bay looks like the most likely destination. The Bucs have Earnest Graham and Cadillac Williams, but both are coming off injuries. And Tampa Bay might not be interested in bringing back Warrick Dunn, who’s 34 years old.
James has age issues himself. He’ll be 31 in August. He is not currently a free agent, but it is expected the Cardinals will release him
