Around the NFL
Brandon Pettigrew ran much slower than expected at the combine, needing three attempts to barely crack 4.9 in the 40.
That should cause him to slip in April's draft, maybe from the top 10 or 15 down to the end of the first round.
An article in The Baltimore Sun suggests that the Ravens are a team that potentially could be interested in Pettigrew. Baltimore has Todd Heap, but he's had a lot of injuries and the team uses multiple tight ends on almost every down anyway.
The article points out that tight ends tend to slip on draft draft anyway -- it's an undervalued position. Heap, Greg Olsen and Heath Miller all went much later than expected.
