Rosenhaus says Owens will sign next week

Posted Mar. 06 at 08:20 AM

Drew Rosenhaus says multiple teams are interested in signing Terrell Owens, and that a deal should be in place within a week, according to a story by the Associated Press.

Rosenhaus, however, isn't identifying any of the teams that might be interested in Owens. And no credible media outlet has been able to link Owens with any team. He was seen at an airport in Nashville, so maybe there's some interest by the Titans. But not necessarily so. The Titans have a ground-based offense and just signed free agent receiver Nate Washington. Owens played his college ball at Tennessee-Chattanooga.

We'll see. A lot of teams have already chimed in to say "no thanks" to Owens.

Earlier in the week, I went through the 32 teams and came up with four teams that looked like they at least might be possibly interested in Owens -- Jaguars, Ravens, Raiders, Jets. Those were the only four that I saw as even possibilities. Since that time, someone from all four of those teams has quietly dismissed Owens.

I think it's possible that nobody will sign him. Big headache off the field, and his skills are diminishing.
