Factoid
In 1998, the Minnesota Vikings set an NFL record by scoring 556 total points. Fantasy owners rode the production of Randall Cunningham, Robert Smith, Cris Carter, and a rookie wideout named Randy Moss to many a championship.
Is history repeating itself? Three games into the 2007 season, the New England Patriots are on pace to exceed all of those numbers, both team-wise and individually. The key so far is the same player who carried that Vikings team all the way to the NFC Championship Game: Moss.
The numbers through three games, for that Vikings team and the current Patriots, as well as how things turned out nine years ago and projections over a full season for New Englands offensive stars. Tom Brady and Moss, in particular, are on pace to shatter some individual records. And did we mention the Patriots face the Bengals this week?
