If it seemed like there were a lot of impressive rookie running backs last year, there were -- an unprecedented number, in fact. Five rookies either rushed for 1,000 yards or scored 10 TDs. Since the league went to a 16-game schedule in 1978, no more than three rookie runners had ever achieved either of those totals before.
