Eric Mangini says Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson will have an open competition for Cleveland's starting job.
You can read all about it on the website of The Plain Dealer (the Cleveland-area newspaper). Beat reporter Tony Grossi has the story.
The Browns, however, remain potential brokers in any trade involving disgruntled Jay Cutler. If the Broncos were to move Cutler, they'd need to bolster that position, and they potentially could be interested in either Quinn or Anderson. If Josh McDaniels wants an honest, fair assessment of Quinn's strengths and weaknesses, he could lean on former Patriots assistant Charlie Weis, who coached him at Notre Dame.
