Around the NFL
The Rams have signed Kyle Boller, the former first-rounder who didn't work out for the Ravens. He spent all of last season on injured reserve, with Baltimore transitioning to Joe Flacco.
The signing of Boller, however, doesn't mean that the Rams won't select a quarterback in this year's draft (and at No. 2 overall, they are positioned to potentially select either Matthew Stafford or Mark Sanchez).
The signing of Boller, in fact, might make it more likely that the Rams are thinking quarterback. If they were to select a quarterback like Stafford, for example, they'd probably prefer to dump Marc Bulger and his big salary -- use Boller as the transition guy.
Boller's contract, by the way, is a one-year deal.
