Around the NFL
David Garrard has lost 18 pounds. He played at 250 last year, and he's worked his was down to 232 in hopes of improving his ability to get away from pass rushers, according to an article at Jacksonville.com.
This isn't necessarily a huge deal, but it could help Garrard improve his rushing production, which is huge in a lot of fantasy formats. At 232, Garrard might be the most productive running quarterback in the league (at least until Michael Vick gets reinstated). At 250, he's powerful but a little slow.
