Second half of Fanex draft underway

Posted May. 26 at 02:03 AM

They’ve got the Fanex draft fired up and running again. There will be 13 picks before I select again (at 11.11), so I probably won’t pick until tomorrow morning.

One of the guys I was looking at just went – Mark Clayton. I’ll need to add a fifth receiver soon, and I kind of like Clayton. Derrick Mason is 35 and get go on forever, so maybe Clayton’s role expands. The Ravens don’t have much else at wide receiver, and Clayton is in a contract year.

Overview of rules: Each team drafts 20 players. Starts QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K, D and one flex player (RB-WR-TE). 6 points for TDs, 4 for TD passes, 1 for every 20 passing yards, 1 for every 10 run/rec yards, 1 for every reception. No free agent pickups – what you draft is what you get. No starting lineups – lineups tabulated via “best ball” methods. No head-to-head games; highest total points after 17 weeks is the winner.

How do you rank the remaining TE's? I have them as Z. Miller, G. Olsen, H. Miller, and J. Shockey. I think Zach will catch the most passes, which would is great in a PPR. Do you think you'll snag one soon? Or do you feel that they're similar enough in value just to wait until later?

Olsen was just selected. The guy on the clock right not is the only owner left before I select who doesn't have a tight end. We'll see what he does. I imagine two of my next three picks will be tight ends This is a best-ball format, so if you can select three who'll catch 40-plus passes and 4-6 TDs, you can put together a productive package.

What does it mean when it says next to your name, "pre-draft selection made"? Is this an automated pick according to predraft rankings?

Posted by IAN ALLAN | May. 26 at 01:47 PM

Yes. If you have a player or position in mind, you can just load a name (or two or three) in there, and the pick is automatically made when it's your turn. The guy with two picks after me hasn't selected a tight end, so I figure I'll grab a tight end with pick 11.11, thinking that he'll probably take a tight end with one of those two following picks. Hopefully he's not reading this website, or he'll trade up in front of me.
