Around the NFL
The Titans don't have much at wideout -- Justin Gage and the recently signed Nate Washington figure to be their starters. That's had some optimistic about a big rookie campaign from Kenny Britt. Thus far, though, it doesn't look like Britt will make a huge impact with the Titans. As a rookie, anyway.
Slowed by a hamstring injury, Britt hasn't been impressive during the team's offseason activities. And it doesn't sound like the team is counting on him doing more than making spot contributions this year.
"Kenny can come in, relax and learn the offense," says receiving coach Fred Graves, in a story in the Nashville Tennessean. "And at some point and time, learn what his role is."
The opportunity may be there for Britt, but owners in re-draft league should probably temper their enthusiasm. It's in dynasty formats where the Rutgers prospect is likeliest to be worth a draft pick.
