Around the NFL
Brian Westbrook underwent surgery in June to remove bone spurs from his ankle, but it doesn't look particularly serious.
Westbrook is working on the side at the team's workouts, and Andy Reid says he expects him to return in mid-August. The season doesn't start until September 13.
Durability will also be an issue with Westbrook -- he's never played 16 games in a season -- but this ankle surgery doesn't appear to be anything serious.
And as an added bonus, the injury is allowing the Eagles to get more work for rookie LeSean McCoy.
