Around the NFL
Limas Sweed looks like he's ready to step up and be a factor this year.
At least according to a report in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Sweed was utterly lost as a rookie. He hardly played, then dropped two touchdown bombs in the postseason -- one against San Diego and one against Baltimore.
But he supposedly looks like a new man now.
"This training camp to last training camp is night and day for him," offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said. "He knows what he's doing, he's playing fast and he hasn't many errors and dropped balls. He's playing so much faster."
Looks like the Steelers won't miss Nate Washington. And Sweed could make a nice impact if either Hines Ward or Santonio Holmes misses any games.
