Raiders / bad quarterbacking

Posted Sep. 21 at 02:53 AM

In its game story on the Raiders, the Associated Press points out that JaMarcus Russell on Sunday was a winning quarterback despite completing fewer than 30 percent of his passes. Among quarterbacks with at least 20 pass attempts, that's happened only one other time since 1997.

Both of the historically bad quarterbacking days, in fact, occurred in Raider games.

2008 JAKE DELHOMME (Carolina at Oakland)

7 of 27, 4 interceptions, 72 yards

(Panthers won 17-6)

2009 JAMARCUS RUSSELL (Oakland at Kansas City)

7 of 24, 0 interceptions, 109 yards

(Raiders won 13-10)
