Bucs haven't yet ruled out Ward

Posted Oct. 03 at 01:17 PM

There's a chance, apparently, that Derrick Ward will play this week after all. Ward hurt a knee last week and didn't practice all week. He's questionable on the injury report.

But Ward says he's feeling better and will travel with the team to Washington.

Most likely, Cadillac Williams will start and Earnest Graham will be the team's No. 2 back. But there's a chance Ward will fill that No. 2 role. It should become clear on Sunday before kickoffs.

" I'm feeling better," said Ward in a blog at tampabay.com.. "It's just a wait-and-see thing right now. . . It's not up to me. I'm about to talk to the trainers right now"
