ESPN is reporting that Ryan Moats will start ahead of Steve Slaton on Sunday against Indianapolis. Slaton supposedly will come of the bench and spell Moats, getting maybe half as many rushing attempts. This isn't a surprise.
Moats ran for 126 yards and 3 TDs on 23 carries at Buffalo, but it remains to be seen if he can hang onto this starting job. The Bills rank last in rushing defense, so you've got to factor in that Moats wouldn't have been nearly as effective against a better opponent.
Slaton is a far better receiver, so he could play in most obvious passing situations.
