Most-sacked quarterbacks

Posted Nov. 14 at 11:19 AM

Below see the chart showing which quarterbacks have been the easiest and hardest to sack this season.

Hardest includes some names you would expect to see: Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Matt Ryan. And a couple that will surprise – Kerry Collins and Matt Schaub. Also, Carson Palmer is up there, even though Cincinnati has a lesser offensive line (he was sacked too often last year before being lost for the season).

The four easiest players to sack are all guys you would expect to see near the bottom: Aaron Rodgers, Trent Edwards, JaMarcus Russell and Matt Cassel. If Jared Allen wins the defensive player of the year away, he should send Rodgers a thank-you card (all but 3 of Allen’s sacks came in the two highly-watched games between Minnesota and Green Bay).

MOST SACKED QUARTERBACKS, 2009
When sacks are adjusted per passing play (13 sacks in 87 pass attempts would equal 13 percent – 13 divided by 100 total pass plays).
