Around the NFL
The hits keep coming for Kansas City. Not only are they terrible, but their fantasy options keep disappearing, one way or another.
Dwayne Bowe has been suspended by the league for four games, for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancers. The team confirmed the report with a brief statement on its website. Bowe will miss the next four games and won't be eligible to play until week 15.
If Kansas City had an inkling this suspension was coming, it may have played a factor in their claiming of Chris Chambers, along with immediately throwing him into the lineup last week. Lance Long played in the slot last week and could become a starter, or the team could elevate Mark Bradley into that spot. Bobby Wade, inactive last week, is a less likely candidate.
Not so long ago, Kansas City's best players (both in fantasy and NFL terms) were Jared Allen, Tony Gonzalez, Larry Johnson and Dwayne Bowe. The first three play for other teams, and the "last man standing" will take a seat for the next four weeks.

I had Chambers on my watchlist on one of the deep leagues that I play in. News of Bowe's suspension was enough for me to pick him up. I don't know how the lose of Bowe will affect the offense. Obviously it throws Chambers into the #1 WR role...but some players are more productive in the #2 role than the #1.
