Around the NFL
New England went with a saturation bombing on the injury report this week. Bill Belichick listed 21 guys, and 18 of them are questionable -- a third of the roster.
Sammy Morris is the biggest name. He's been out with a knee injury but was supposedly healthy enough that he could have played last week. The Patriots say he was limited in practice on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. If he plays, Morris might be New England's best back. But we can't promise he'll play.
The Patriots also have five key offensive linemen as questionable: Nick Kaczur (ankle), Dan Koppen (knee), Stephen Neal (head), Sebastian Vollmer (head) and Matt Light (knee). Vollmer (who's been surprising success for them) didn't practice on Friday or Saturday. The others were limited all week.
For the Saints, Lance Moore (ankle) didn't practice on Friday or Saturday and is listed as doubtful, and Reggie Bush (knee) was limited in practice all week and is questionable.
The Saints have injuries at cornerback, which could be crucial in this game. Tracy Porter (knee) didn't practice all week and is doubtful. And both Jabari Greer (groin) and Randall Gay (hamstring) are questionable.
