Around the NFL
Garrett Hartley just missed an extra point in the Saints game. Not a field goal -- an extra point! He hit it wide right.
Last week, recall, Hartley kicked the game-winning field goal against Washington, but it wasn't pretty. It was an extra-point length kick, and it looked awfully low.
Where do the Saints go from here? We'll see. They might go back to John Carney. They might sign a free agent (Jason Elam? Mike Nugent?). Or they might simply hope Hartley can turn things around.

I can't believe I have to ask this (I have Hartley), but with free agent/waiver transactions ending this Thursday, do I 1) drop another player who may have value to ensure I don't go into a playoff game without a kicker, 2) roll the dice and hope that Hartley holds the job for the next two weeks (our playoffs are week 15 and 16), or 3) abandon Hartley and add another kicker for the playoffs (guys with soft schedules like Nedney, Kris Brown, and Phil Dawson are all available?
