Brandon Marshall won't play on Sunday against Kansas City, says Josh McDaniels. Marshall has a hamstring injury, but McDaniels indicates the decision isn't entirely injury-related.
"There's a lot of players that play with things that are more difficult to play with than what he has," said McDaniels.
An article in The Denver Post indicates that tight end Tony Scheffler also is being benched.
I'm working on putting together an update, fusing in the developments of Thursday and Friday into the scouting newsletter we put together that was released Wednesday. Revised rankings will be loaded onto the site either late today or early tomorrow.
In the case of the Broncos, with Marshall out, I have a lot of interest in Jabar Gaffney as a solid fill-in option for this week. Their other starting receiver, Eddie Royal, hasn't been very effective this year and is questionable; Royal was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday.
