Around the NFL
As the kickoff time draws closer and closer, I'm getting a stronger feeling that Fred Jackson will have a very big game against Indianapolis. The game is in Buffalo, of course, and the Colts are expected to hold out most of their starters -- so it's essentially Buffalo's regulars against the Indianapolis JV.
Now the weather dynamic is getting tossed in as well. Looks like there's a good chance it will be snowing during the game as well. Looking at weather.com, they've got the temperature expected to be 15 degrees, with a 70 percent chance of snow. Wind should be a factor as well.
With the cold weather, snow and wind, it should be virtually impossible to pass or kick the ball. The Bills should keep things on the ground, and Jackson, not Marshawn Lynch, is their top running back right now. As an added bonus, Jackson needs 150 rushing yards to reach the 1,000-yard mark, and that's something that's very important to him. With everything seemingly falling into place, I think Jackson is going to make a run at the 150 yards in this game.
