It's been presumed since the end of the season that the Broncos would trade Brandon Marshall, and that may well happen. Owner Pat Bowlen, though, hopes that the tension between the wideout and coach Josh McDaniels will be put aside, and Marshall will return.
"I think Brandon is going through a maturing process," Bowlen told The Denver Post. "I personally would like to see him stay. And there's still a good possibility that could happen."
Also in the interview, Bowlen backed Kyle Orton, but didn't rule out drafting a quarterback of the future. "I want Kyle back," Bowlen said. "He's a good quarterback. I'd also like to think we might have the opportunity to draft a young quarterback, not necessarily to come in and play right away, but if you have the opportunity to draft somebody, that would be a plus for us."
Not surprisingly, he stood by coach Josh McDaniels, saying he "did a very good job."
