Factoid
Week 17 features no fewer than eight rematches of division rivalry games played earlier in the season. If the rematches are anything like the first meetings, there should be plenty of sacks, turnovers, and defensive touchdowns racked up in most of them -- very appropriate for what's known as a season for giving.
Five of the eight games played earlier featured an above-average number of sacks and turnovers recorded by either one or both teams. Three of those games also featured defensive touchdowns.
The numbers:
Chargers-Raiders: 6 sacks, 4 turnovers, 1 Def TD
Rams-Cardinals: 3 sacks, 5 turnovers, 2 Def TDs
Jaguars-Texans: 3 sacks, 6 turnovers, 1 Def TD
Steelers-Ravens: 9 sacks, 5 turnovers
Lions-Packers: 4 sacks, 2 turnovers (all recorded by Green Bay)
Cowboys-Washington: 2 sacks, 3 turnovers
Titans-Colts: 5 sacks, 3 turnovers
Panthers-Bucs: 3 sacks, 3 turnovers
