Now that Washington has paired Larry Johnson with Clinton Portis in its backfield, perhaps it should consider adding a third running back. Preferably a goal-line specialist.
In 2009, 48 NFL running backs rushed for at least 400 yards, including both Portis and Johnson. Only five of those rushers, however, scored 1 or fewer touchdowns. Washington now has two of them.
