Fantasy Index Scheduletron -- strength-of-schedule analysis
In 2009, San Francisco's opponents allowed an average of 19.3 points in their other games -- the 2nd-fewest in the league. Clarifying: that's what the 49ers' opponents did in their combined 240 other games.
So, presumably, San Francisco's offense could have been damaged by tending to play harder defenses.
This year, San Francisco's opponents for the 2010 project to allow 22.5 points per game, which works out to the 3rd-easiest in the league.
I'm not putting too much weight in this, but it looks like San Francisco's offense will benefit from scheduling this year. Certainly, six games in the NFC West will help them.
