Around the NFL
Fire up those Donovan McNabb trade rumors. Turns out the Eagles are listening to offers for their quarterbacks after all. And given that it would be stunning if the Eagles dealt the youngest of the three passers, it seems like that either McNabb or Michael Vick will soon be headed out of town.
"People are entertaining us with offers," says Andy Reid. "Nothing's been done, but we're evaluating all of them." His comments can be seen in this story in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
According to the article, there's minimal interest in Vick, so the team is deciding whether to trade McNabb -- which would signal the end of an era -- or Kolb. Trading Kolb would suggest the team believes it can get back to the Super Bowl with McNabb at the helm in the next year or two, or perhaps that's it not as high on Kolb as its quarterback of the future.
The guess here is that Kolb isn't going anywhere. And the fact that the team is apparently entertaining offers for McNabb means that eventually, someone will meet their price.
