Factoid
Miami’s wide receivers caught a fair number of passes last year. It was the only team in the league with four wide receivers over 400 yards.
But they didn’t catch many touchdowns. Brian Hartline led the team with 3 – count ‘em – 3 TDs. Nobody else caught more than 2.
Looking at the stats from the last two years, the Dolphins have three of the only six wide receivers who have caught 80-plus passes but have averaged less than a touchdown per every 30 receptions.
Ted Ginn, Greg Camarillo, Davone Bess – none of those guys have been good touchdown scorers.
