Bills likely will trade Lynch

Posted May. 16 at 07:25 AM

We're inching towards June, and Marshawn Lynch is still on Buffalo's roster. As Bob Matthews points of the Times-Union and Democrat and Chronicle points out, Lynch will be moved before training camp. Buffalo has Fred Jackson and drafted C.J. Spiller, so Lynch doesn't fit in its plans.

But where will Lynch land?

A reader pointed out a few weeks back that the Patriots surely would love to have him. That might be enough to scare the Bills away from simply releasing him.

Oakland looks like a good fit; it has just Michael Bush and Darren McFadden. Jacksonville could use depth behind Maurice Jones-Drew. St. Louis definitely needs another back behind Steven Jackson. Seattle, San Francisco, Detroit, Green Bay, Tampa Bay and Baltimore could be interested.

Lynch will play somewhere. I probably won't be in Buffalo.
