Super Underdogs

Hoping for a Super Bowl that's closer than the opening 14-point spread? Recent history suggests we'll get one. The last four double-digit underdogs have either tied or covered the spread -- the last two, in fact, have won the game outright. Good news for those rooting for the Giants, although granted, none of those previous underdogs faced an undefeated team.

Super Bowl XXXVI - Rams favored by 14 - Patriots win, 20-17
Super Bowl XXXII - Packers favored by 12 - Broncos win, 31-24
Super Bowl XXXI - Packers favored by 14 - Packers win, 35-21
Super Bowl XXX - Cowboys favored by 13 1/2 - Cowboys win, 27-17
