Around the NFL
The Browns have signed wide receiver Bobby Engram. He's old and doesn't have much left, but he might actually be a significant part of their offense.
Cleveland doesn't have much else at wide receiver. Mohamed Massaquoi was very good as a rookie. They really need Brian Robiskie to come along and emerge as a starter.
But they don't have much else. Josh Cribbs is an excellent return guy, but he's done very little as a wide receiver. They picked up Chansi Stuckey as a throwaway in the Braylon Edwards trade last year.
Engram is ancient -- 37 -- and hardly played last year in Kansas City. But he knows this offense better than anyone else who's there. He could be their No. 3 receiver.
In his last year in Seattle (where he played under current Cleveland GM Mike Holmgren) Engram caught 47 passes in 11 games. That was 2008. He caught 94 passes in 2007.
Fantasy value? None.
