Factoid
A couple of readers over the weekend requested stats for Peyton Manning. Specifically, how he compares against other quarterbacks in sacks and interceptions.
(Earlier I published numbers showing how Manning fared against the rest of the league in passing yards and touchdowns in the last decade).
The numbers appear below. Most impressive are the sack numbers. On average, he’s been sacked 8 fewer times per season than any other team in the last decade. Manning’s been sacked only 19 times per season over the last 10 years, which is barely more than half the league average in the same period.
Manning also doesn’t throw many interceptions. He’s at only 14 per season in the last 10 years, which is more than only four other teams.
