Joey Galloway is ancient – 36 years old. And you don’t see a lot of wide receivers in that age bracket playing successfully in the NFL. Only two players 36-plus years old, for example, have gone over 1,000 receiving yards – Jerry Rice (3 times) and Jimmy Smith.
But Galloway is an unusual guy. He’s old, but he still has his speed. Check out the chart below. It shows, for the 28 wide receivers who caught at least 6 TDs last year, the average distance of their touchdowns in the 2007 season.

Would it perhaps also be a valuable stat to calculate the Avg. YAC on these players' TDs? That would seem to be a factor that could show what players can leave DBs in the dust.
