In our last one-on-one poll we'll stick at WR for the fourth straight time, another set of WRs in this same area, in the late 2nd to early 3rd round area of drafts typically.
DeSean Jackson is re-writing the script on small WRs at the NFL level. The 5-10, 175 lbs WR has averaged 62 receptions and 1,034 receiving yards his first two seasons in the NFL, plus increased his receiving TDs from 2 to 9. Jackson also has a rushing TD in back-to-back seasons and a punt return for a TD in back-to-back seasons as well (two of them last year).
After seven NFL seasons, Anquan Boldin moves on from Arizona to Baltimore, a marquee signing for a team in need of a legit #1 WR. Even including missed games (Boldin has been OUT 18% of his career), Boldin averages 84 catches, 1,074 yards and 6 TDs per season. Boldin is a great draft-day blunder – gone right ultimately – for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2004 NFL Draft. The team drafted Bryant Johnson in the 1st round (who has totaled 290 receptions, 3,638 career receiving yards and 15 TDs) but Boldin was the guy they wanted all along! They took Boldin in the 2nd round (Boldin's career stats are 586 receptions, 7,520 yards and 44 TDs).
