Around the NFL
The Eagles have formally ruled out Kevin Kolb, with Michael Vick in for him. Another dual-threat quarterback will likely be starting this week: Seneca Wallace for Cleveland.
That latter one isn't official, but Vick replacing Kolb is a definite. Vick's last NFL start was in December 2006, against the Eagles.
As for Delhomme, he hasn't practiced all week, including today. Eric Mangini probably won't officially rule Delhomme out until kickoff, if then, but that's how things are looking.
Vick, obviously, has a lot of appeal against a quarterback-friendly Lions defense. Wallace is less appealing against a Kansas City defense that showed some teeth last week, but that's not a particularly good group either. Wallace himself, however, has less upside, and he's playing in a less talented Browns offense.
