I hate that I need the Cowboys to win to give the Redskins a share of the NFC East lead. Also a solid game from Witten will move me into the top 5 of the Super League. Not even the Eleff curse can ruin my vested interest in this one :p

Posted by ANDY RICHARDSON | Oct. 25 at 10:19 AM

I'm starting austin and nicks in the super league. Because I was too "clever" to use roddy white.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:20 AM

Howdy. Here's hoping this live-blog lasts longer than last night's technology-doomed attempt.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:22 AM

Best prime-time games since Week 1: IND-WAS in Week 6, MIN-GB last night. Those are the ONLY two games I didn't live-blog. Coincidence?

Posted by ANDY RICHARDSON | Oct. 25 at 10:23 AM

I figure last night's didn't work because it was a compelling game. A bad omen for tonight.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:26 AM

Robert: I have Witten, too, so let's root for that together. And it's this simple re tonight's winner: Cowboys move to 2-4 or (a) I know nothing about football, and (b) Jerry Jones should cut at least half a dozen players this week. Time for a W or something really radical.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:28 AM

Andy: I'm so clever I had Fitz instead of White. My wounds do not taste good. Also, agreed re the omen. I had the same thought as last night kept getting better and better.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:32 AM

Elsewhere, my Mississippi Queens are having an enormous week, 7 points shy of the JFNFL record with Hakeem Nicks still to come. So I want at least 8; standard scoring.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:32 AM

NOTE: Three of our regular starters are Peyton Manning, Arian Foster, Jahvid Best - all on their byes. Good week to have Carson Palmer filling in.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:34 AM

And hats off to Ian, who went with Palmer and Batman and Robin in the Super League. First thing he's gotten REALLY right in that contest.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:35 AM

I'm chalking my own Super League "cleverness" up to hangover. Still completely jawdropped over the gf having won last week.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:36 AM

Gruden and The Pointer Sisters. That's just consistently hilarious.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:41 AM

Does anyone else remember Gruden telling C.J. Spiller how much he'd love the song "I'm So Excited"?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:43 AM

Eli trying to get me my 8. And failing, badly, but still.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:44 AM

Lovely tackle by Ahmad Bradshaw there. Not that any Giants fan ever wants to hear that.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:45 AM

For the record, I say Dallas wins this one by 13, 16, something like that. Not close. And considering our history here, nothing like a good game.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:48 AM

And Robert gets his decent game from Witten already, on one play. Might be able to check out early tonight. Not that there's anything else on TV - or has The Event gotten better since I quit watching?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:51 AM

Uh-oh, Giants fans. Eli has that look tonight.

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 10:54 AM

Coughlin is going to choke out a receiver on the sidelines so that the others know he means business.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:55 AM

Less than creative playcalling in the red zone from Jason Garrett. Lousy hands from Miles Austin. 10-0 DAL.

Posted by ANDY RICHARDSON | Oct. 25 at 10:56 AM

Roddy white would have caught those passes austin and nicks dropped

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:56 AM

Brian: Let's make that Manningham. I own Nicks and Steve Smith North in too many places.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 10:58 AM

Andy: This week there can be absolutely no doubt about that. I see a lot of the luster coming off of Austin lately. Nicks I really, really like. By 2011 at latest he's the very best receiver in the league.

Posted by ANDY RICHARDSON | Oct. 25 at 10:58 AM

Very impressive she won. I was stoked about briefly being 23rd overall. Briefly.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 10:59 AM

Hey, Justin...I'm here.

Posted by ANDY RICHARDSON | Oct. 25 at 11:01 AM

We had nicks No. 1 in the rookie piece two years ago. I think we went nicks, maclin, harvin, crabtree? Something like that.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:01 AM

I wrote this earlier in the season and Buehler promptly made me look silly (and then the rest of the team did, too), but I'll try again now: Doesn't his having assumed the full-time kicking duties mean we've given Jerry Jones way too little credit as a talent evaluator?

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 11:03 AM

Manninghma should have been short because he ran backwards!!!! Coughlin is getting the gloves out.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:04 AM

Andy: Wait, what? Where was H-B in that rookies piece?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:06 AM

Brian: I'm officially behind this. One, I don't own Manningham. Two, we could use a little sideline violence. Missing that the last couple of years.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:06 AM

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:11 AM

"New York has challenged the previous call of an incomplete pass ... versus a completed play." Do these guys really need microphones?

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 11:12 AM

Justin, I hope that the guy ahead of you in your FC league is not a regular on these blogs. Is that guy on crack or what? 2 purchases left with 10 weeks remaining...wow!!!

Posted by ANDY RICHARDSON | Oct. 25 at 11:13 AM

Too high. Might have been ahead of crabtree. I'll blame ian for that (but credit him for nicks...I might have liked harvin better.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:13 AM

Coughlin is only a year older than Phillips? He looks like he fought in the Civil War.

Posted by Jason Spann | Oct. 25 at 11:13 AM

So how much of this is Justin talking to himself?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:14 AM

Jason: Damn near all of it. For seven weeks now.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:18 AM

Andy: I honestly didn't think Harvin's game would translate to the NFL at all. Very surprised. I thought his speed was kind of an illusion at Florida; Meyer et al. were constantly getting him free against linebackers, and it's easy to look superhuman that way. I'll still take Nicks first, Maclin second long-term, but now I like Harvin third. And here's betting there's at least one Vincent Jackson or Mal.com Floyd down-the-road type in that class, too. There always is.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:21 AM

Mississippi Queens up to 163 pts. with the Nicks TD. Previous league record: 159. 10-7 DAL.

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 11:22 AM

Is there butter on the ball?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:23 AM

Sad to say, but that downed punt - if it holds up - is the best play of the Cowboys' season so far.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 11:24 AM

Have Bradshaw, Nicks and Austin on my FC team and if Eli equals my lower scoring QB in JFNFL, then I drop to 3-4.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:24 AM

Brian: If so, it tastes better than it would otherwise.

Posted by Jason Spann | Oct. 25 at 11:26 AM

How does Michael Irvin have any job that involves speaking as the primary requisite?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:27 AM

Kevin: I still give you a fighting chance in the JFNFL. Eli can always go into full-on egg-laying mode, and now that Nicks has his points I'm happy to root against Eli with you.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:28 AM

Jason: Couldn't disagree more. The night Irvin made his firing inevitable was a sad, sad night for me. Only guy I ever liked better on TV was (is) Barkley.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:29 AM

Kevin: Let's not only root AGAINST Eli but root FOR Bradshaw together. I could use some rushing numbers.

Posted by ANDY RICHARDSON | Oct. 25 at 11:30 AM

Justin - don't forget britt. Id take him over crabtree at a minimum, and he's there with maclin I think too.

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 11:33 AM

Yeah, I just looked at the '09 Draft in terms of WRs. Astounding number of guys are starting from that draft. I mean, Austin Collie and Julian Edelman went late. The Raiders scouting department must suck because it was hard to blow it on WRs in that draft and they went with Heywood-Bey as their #1???? In fairness, their scouting department probably consists of 81 year old Al Davis and a VHS machine.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:34 AM

Jason: I mean among sports commentators only. Other guys I've liked better on TV include Bryan Cranston, John Noble, Harry Dean Stanton, the whole cast of John from Cincinnati, etc.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 11:34 AM

no VHS in Raider Nation...just an old-fashioned projector on loan from NFL Films.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:35 AM

Andy: Again, this week there can be absolutely no doubt about that. Britt's day yesterday was one of the unlikeliest stories of the season.

Posted by Jason Spann | Oct. 25 at 11:36 AM

Kitna time! We could have a record for turnovers in a game by the time this is over.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 11:36 AM

If Eli throws another TD pass, I just hope it is not to Boss or I am done this week in the JFNFL.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:38 AM

Brian and Kevin: Nice work on the VHS lines, both of you. I actually did LOL there.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:40 AM

Buehler again. 13-7 DAL. Romo's shoulder obviously the big story at the moment.

Posted by Jason Spann | Oct. 25 at 11:41 AM

I'm a huge fan of Barkley, can't imagine putting Irvin in the same sentence.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:41 AM

His NON-THROWING shoulder, I should point out. Brett Favre is mocking him right now.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:43 AM

Jason: Irvin's the only guy in history for whom raising his voice really does seem like making a better argument. He's gifted in a hard-to-place way. Can't explain the appeal; I've just always loved him. As have hookers, I gather.

Posted by Jason Spann | Oct. 25 at 11:46 AM

And drug dealers

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:47 AM

Dez Bryant. Classic case of out-kicking the coverage, but W-O-W that punt was unbelievable.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:47 AM

Jason: See? I'm not alone.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:49 AM

20-7 DAL. Giants score next or prime time goes down the tubes yet again. So, right. Eli's pick-6 should be coming directly.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:51 AM

I know it seems silly, but this is a crucial 3rd & 2.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:52 AM

Bradshaw converts. The rout could be on at any minute here. Need to quiet the crowd.

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 11:54 AM

Is it me or does Wade Phillips look like Ralph Wiggum?

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 11:55 AM

good news for me...hey!!

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 11:58 AM

i guess i am done pretty soon

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 11:58 AM

Nicks again! We have a game!

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 11:59 AM

Thanks for showing up Welker, Shiancoe and Miller...do I sound bitter?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:01 PM

Brian: I see that. Also, realized earlier that Al Davis fought with Coughlin in the War Between the States. They have the same skin.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:02 PM

Kevin: Not over yet. Eli can go cold. The key for now is that the tight ends get shut out the rest of the way.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:05 PM

What's with Denzel Washington and train movies?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:08 PM

Queens up to 170 pts. This week has just been unbelievable. Again: Peyton, Foster, Best on their byes - and we had Gates on the bench. But Palmer, Turner, White, Nicks, Heap as the fill-in for Gates. We just hit the lotto.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:09 PM

Kevin: Or maybe Eli is the best QB in the league. What do I know?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:10 PM

21-20 NYG, and all of Dallas is teetering.

Posted by Jason Spann | Oct. 25 at 12:14 PM

Wade Phillips never looks like he knows what's going on

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:15 PM

Jason: Brian's Ralph Wiggum comparison looks more and more apt to me.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:16 PM

Romo's injury is a fractured left clavicle, for the one human being who isn't watching but is lurking here. (Hi, mom.)

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 12:18 PM

easiest bone in the body to break, i'm surprised it does not happen more often in football.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:19 PM

Just noticed I might only be another Nicks TD away from winning $200 in one of those goofy SnapDraft contests. So let's all root for that, shall we?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:20 PM

Kevin: You say that as if you were a professional bonebreaker at one time. Mob enforcer, maybe?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:23 PM

Tynes is money after a holding call. Good from 40-something, then good from 50-something on the redo. 24-20 NYG at the half unless we get another return TD.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 12:24 PM

I never said my real name was Kevin Dallas.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:25 PM

And we don't. Nice game so far, but now it's threatening to get out of hand the other way. Kitna trying to bring a desperate 'Boys team back ...

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:25 PM

Kevin: Never sounded like a real name anyway.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:26 PM

Back after the half. Drink up, kids.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 12:28 PM

Just kidding...I only recalled that information from a Human Biology class I took a long time ago.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:38 PM

Nice start to the half there. Bryant brings the kickoff back to the ... 9. Ugh.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 12:40 PM

pick 6 coming

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 12:41 PM

or heaven forbid there would be a breakdown in the Cowboys line...safety!!

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:42 PM

Cowboys have JAX and DET at home in Weeks 8 and 11. Can win those without Romo. But they visit GB and NYG in Weeks 9 and 10. Looks to me like that playoff spot is now definitely open.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:43 PM

I really want my third Nicks TD, because I really want my $200. Is that so much to ask?

Posted by ANDY RICHARDSON | Oct. 25 at 12:43 PM

I chose romo over eli in one league. Alas. Plus I sure wish eli had his bye already.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:49 PM

Andy: Just be glad you aren't a challenge player. My people are all in bad shape in Week 8; Nicks and Maclin and Knox are all every-week starts in those games, and most of us are using White as well. And that's not even touching on QBs (Cutler, Eli, QB Eagles) and RBs (Rice, Turner, McCoy, Bradshaw, Hillis). It's the worst week for byes in any season ever.

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 12:50 PM

Since Romo got hurt this crowd has sounded like the crowd for the JAX/TENN game from a few weeks back. And that didn't look anywhere near as many fans in the stands.

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 12:51 PM

Wade Phillips: I Choo-Choo-Choose You.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:52 PM

Looking at SnapDraft, I think another 30 yards from Nicks and a Giants win would do it, too - but I'd need Austin to stay quiet. Complicated. Let's just go with the extra TD.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:54 PM

Brian: Tennessee-Jacksonville was last week. Seems like longer ago because IT LASTED FOR EIGHT G*****N YEARS.

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 12:55 PM

That was last week? Oy. And now Tirico is giving a vrtual tour of the stadium....

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:58 PM

Looks like just one more yard for Nicks, a Giants win and a quiet rest of the game for Austin will win me $200. I know THAT isn't too much to ask.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 12:58 PM

BINGO!

Posted by Brandon Eleff | Oct. 25 at 12:58 PM

4XL Gloves, 18" Radius Hands. Someone has a fetish. Can we change Gruden's song to the Violent Femmes?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:01 PM

Brandon: He likes The Pointer Sisters waaaaaay too much to have heard of the Femmes.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:02 PM

Assuming the Giants win - not the thinnest limb to be out on - I have like 11 points on the guy with Austin. Just need anything other than a touchdown.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:04 PM

If you're wondering, as near as I can tell this Cowboys special-teamer whose name sounds like a whole language unto itself is Akwasi Owusu-Ansah.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:05 PM

In the same vein, what a joy it was to see the Chargers fill in for Legedu Naanee with Seyi Ajirotutu yesterday.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:11 PM

I don't see any way Dallas comes back tonight, but I'll hold off on Jones cutting six players for one more week. Nothing could be done about this; Romo went down and you could see the balloon deflating.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:14 PM

Hey, didn't Jaws say he was EXCITED for Kitna at halftime? And didn't he just say the situation is IMPOSSIBLE? Not to put too fine a point on it, but shouldn't we only get one of those lines per game?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:18 PM

Will we ever find out how Jenn Sterger responded to Brett Favre's advances? And whether her response had anything to do with his stylish Wranglers?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:18 PM

Alan Ball with the hit!

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 01:19 PM

Jaworski is such a pompous blow-hard. I hope he is replaced by the guy from the University of Miami from a few years back that wanted to go down and fight Central Florida with the rest of the Hurricanes. That guy was exciting and no less intelligent.

Posted by Brandon Eleff | Oct. 25 at 01:19 PM

I'll ask my roommate he went to school with her for years in Tampa and then Tally

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:20 PM

Given that two guys happen to have the same name, could their lives be any more different than one having written American Beauty and created Six Feet Under and True Blood, and the other playing safety for the Cowboys?

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 01:21 PM

Justin...I know there is no way I come back tonight...you don't have to rub it in.

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 01:22 PM

I can't believe that Wrangler is still running the ads. For one, they are awful, but didn't all of Tiger's ads get yanked at the mere hint of impropriety?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:23 PM

Brandon: I went to school with Laura for years in Tampa and then Atlanta - and we were engaged for two years - and I have no idea whether she likes Wranglers ...

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:25 PM

Kevin: Yeah, you got a pretty great version of Eli tonight, it turned out. Condolences.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 01:26 PM

I just want to know if there is a trade reversal clause in the constitution anywhere.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:27 PM

Brian: I'm pretty sure there was never a time when Tiger was looking at a mere hint of impropriety. The story broke pretty much all at once. Only the number kept rising.

Posted by Brandon Eleff | Oct. 25 at 01:30 PM

Fair enough. No pants preference known. Personally, I'm thinking of switching over to the flyless wranglers that SNL ran an ad for.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:30 PM

Kevin: This week it doesn't look great, granted. But let's not forget that Turner and Nicks gave me all of 4 points combined in Week 6. You're clear of byes now; complain if and when the Queens beat you in the Super Bowl.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:32 PM

That was awesome. Now we have to watch another eight minutes with a 0% chance of a comeback. FALSE HOPE is so, so much better than NO HOPE.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:33 PM

I have officially wrecked prime time yet again. Apologies all around.

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 01:33 PM

Oh, I'm not saying that Tiger got an unfair shake....but he had consensual sex with these ladies. Consensual, depraved sex with many, many, many ladies. Heck, he even threw in the neighbors' kid. However...Favre sent an unwelcome photo of himself doing a load by hand in nothing but a pair of Crocs. And that's what I find objectionable- the Crocs.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 01:35 PM

Somehow I got kicked off the site and my last post did not post, so here it is...I do not feel sorry for the Boys. Since they did not go for the 3, I hope Bradshaw goes for 94 yards on this next play.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:36 PM

Brian: Could always be worse. This could've been a sex scandal involving the other famous Crocs-wearer: Mario Batali.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 01:36 PM

My season is over in the JFNFL. I am obviously a terrible judge of talent and the Paul Brown of bad trades. I'll stick with the challenges.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:39 PM

Kevin: If you're beating yourself up over the DMC move, don't. He was on the Blues' bench this week. They're losing by 10 pts.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:40 PM

Garbage TD for Austin coming? Please, please. No.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 01:41 PM

I am just venting. I am fine. I will never give up, never give up til the fight is done.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:42 PM

Kevin: I'm confident your team will make the playoffs. It's all random after that.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:45 PM

There aren't nearly enough American-born children named Igor. Get on this immediately, hipsters.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:46 PM

I guess "children" is more ambiguous than it should have been. Igor is a terrible, terrible name for a girl.

Posted by Jason Spann | Oct. 25 at 01:47 PM

Garbage TDs! Who's gonna get burned?

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 01:47 PM

What in the hell are the Giants throwing for?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:47 PM

Garbage TD for ... Bryant. Phfew.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:49 PM

Jon Kitna has that snapping-turtle look to him. Reminds me of Brad Johnson.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 01:49 PM

I guess a two-pointer doesn't hurt you here?

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 01:50 PM

I don't understand why Austin keeps disappearing in some games. However, Bryant looks really good. Austin really can't beat a double team for a few catches a game??

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:53 PM

Kevin: Actually, there is a guy with Witten creeping up the standings. But I think he started from too far back. He'd need a TD from Witten or Steve Smith North. Admitted: I am a little nervous.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:54 PM

Definitely hoping for a 38-28 final score at this point. Let's bleed out the clock.

Posted by KEVIN DALLAS | Oct. 25 at 01:55 PM

I am signing off. I e-mailed you the updated analysis, having deleted last week's games from the spreadsheet. Hopefully we both moved up in the FC with tonight's results and hopefully not a ton of people kill us with Eli.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 01:57 PM

Kevin: Goodnight. I have a solid idea of how we move up in the FC now. Let's chat on the phone later this week.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 02:00 PM

OK. Just need a failed drive here for the Cowboys. Just one failed drive. No TD for Austin, no TD for Witten. Just a nice, boring, steady-handed, predictable Kitna INT, and we all go home happy.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 02:02 PM

The Bills couldn't possibly be worse with Perry Fewell as head coach instead of Chan Gailey, right?

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 02:04 PM

Giants hemorrhaging yards. C'mon, men.

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 02:05 PM

Considering dropping CJ Spiller. He's a glorified return man...and there are better return men to choose from.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 02:05 PM

4th & 1. My whole week comes down to this.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 02:06 PM

DEZ BRYANT! HARMLESS! GIANTS FALL ON THE ONSIDE KICK FOR $200!

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 02:06 PM

Brian: What's the format? I think Spiller will have a nice run in PPR (at least) down the stretch.

Posted by JUSTIN ELEFF | Oct. 25 at 02:08 PM

YES! DON'T SCREW UP THE KNEELDOWNS AND I'M RICH!

Posted by Brian Grzybowski | Oct. 25 at 02:08 PM

We do 0.5 per reception. We found that 1 point was overvaluing WRs in relation to other positions.

Brian: Don't get me started on the "merits" of any format other than the one I created. They're all garbage. Happy to tell you all about the JFNFL, but not tonight. In .5 PPR I'd hold Spiller a bit longer unless someone really, really good hits the waiver wire.

And we'll call that a wrap. Better game than usual tonight, but still not good. I'll be back here Sunday; hoping for more TREAT than TRICK. Goodnight, kids.
