Leinart likes to party

Posted Apr. 02 at 09:36 AM

I think Kurt Warner’s value just went up a little.

Ken Whisenhunt named Matt Leinart his starting quarterback a few months back, but check out the photos of Leinart that have made their way onto the web.

I don’t necessarily think it’s a huge deal. I saw similar photos of Ben Roethlisberger a few years back. But it makes you wonder if Leinart’s ever going to develop into the franchise-type quarterback that the Cardinals are hoping for.

Mitch Hedberg once asked, "Do you think that when the guy came up with the idea to invent a bong, a blacklight popped up over his head?" I bring this up because I hear in various media reports that Leinart was photographed with a bong. I'm a little rusty on my drug paraphernalia, but that's not a bong in the photo, is it? To me, it looks more like a funnel. I think it's the old fraternity deal, where you use the funnel to get the beer to the stomach faster. I think it's a funnel, not a bong. I also think Leinart looks a little soft -- like he hasn't been working out.
