Around the NFL
Kenny Britt is loaded with talent, with more than enough ability to be a legitimate top wideout for the Titans. But can he stay out of trouble? It doesn't look like it.
Britt was arrested Tuesday and faces multiple charges following a police chase in New Jersey. It's the most recent incident in a laundry list that includes an arrest a year ago for outstanding traffic warrants, a later traffic-related incident, and then a bar fight (where he wasn't charged).
This one sounds fairly serious, at least enough so that when coupled with Britt's previous arrests, he'll face some sort of league suspension (once the league is back in the business of handing out suspensions).
Once Britt learns to stay out of trouble off the field, he could be a superstar on it. Last year he scored 9 TDs in just 12 games despite having shall we say less than stellar quarterback play. He put up five games with at least 85 receiving yards last season, including his final three, with one monster showing: 7 catches, 225 yards, 3 TDs.
But after this latest incident, it looks likely he'll have another season where he plays fewer than 16 games.
