Brown vs. James at the goal line

Posted Apr. 20 at 07:08 AM

It doesn’t look like Donald Brown is going to develop into a big-time back. Certainly, it doesn’t look like the Colts will use him in goal-line situations.

When the ball was inside the 2 last year, Brown failed to score on any of his 4 carries. The only running back in the league (out of the 36 with at least 4 attempts) who got completely shut out.

Javarris James may have joined the Colts as an undrafted free agent, but he was the most effective runner (in the league) in those situations, scoring on 4 of his 5 carries.
