Around the NFL
The lockout is over, and NFL players can report to work. That's the official word anyway, but it's definitely causing confusion and some awkward occurrences around the league.
As this article at NFL.com indicates, players can show up to team facilities, but it's not exactly business as usual. Some players have been allowed into the facilities but told they can't work out, while others have been turned away entirely.
There isn't even any consistency among player reps, with some advising teammates to report, and others telling them to wait for now, to see the outcome of the owners' appeal of yesterday's ruling. It's a mess.
Things will no doubt continue to change over the course of the next day or two -- who knows, maybe we'll get some actual free agency in here, with players being signed or traded. Stay tuned.
