The Jacksonville Jaguars and David Garrard have agreed on a six-year contract extension worth $60 million, according to
Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com
That’s not bad coin for a guy who at this time a year ago was a backup. The deal includes $20 million in guaranteed money, according to Prisco.
The Jaguars released Byron Leftwich late last August, clearing the way for Garrad to become a starter. He went 9-3 in 12 games, averaging 209 passing yards, with 18 TDs versus only 3 interceptions.
