Around the NFL
There's a court hearing scheduled in St. Louis tomorrow, where an appeal regarding the current lockout will be heard. But it now appears that something, maybe, will happen to bring the two sides closer before that.
According to an ESPN report, representatives from the owners and players were meeting secretly in Chicago last night, trying to bridge the differences that have resulted in the current lockout. There's been so little movement for so long that it's hard to be overly optimistic, but then again, it seems negotiations can only help.
The report notes, "One source said any potential deal still was a ways away, however, the hope would be that the two sides could get something done sooner rather than later, potentially even later this month."
So keep your fingers crossed.
