The Cowboys are holding two first-round picks and could be looking to use one of them on a wide receiver. Not a rookie wide receiver, but on an established veteran who could be immediately plugged into the lineup.
They’ve already been linked with Chad Johnson, who wants out of Cincinnati. Now there’s a story tying them to Roy Williams of the Lions. Williams is entering the final year of his contract, and Detroit already has a lot of money tied up in Calvin Johnson.

Terrell Owens is getting up there in years (and is also a ticking time bomb off the field), so it makes sense for the Cowboys to want to bring in another reliable pair of hands for Tony Romo. It potentially could be the move that puts the team over the hump and gets it back into a Super Bowl.
