Favre concedes return possible

Posted Apr. 08 at 03:41 PM

Brett Favre, in an interview with his local paper, says it’s at least possible he would come out of retirement if Aaron Rodgers were to get hurt and the Packers contacted him.

"It would be hard to pass up, I guess,” Favre said in an interview with Al Jones of the Biloxi (Miss.) Sun-Herald. “But three months from now, say that presents itself, I may say, you know what, I'm so glad I made that decision. I'm feel very comfortable in what I'm doing and my decision.”

In the interview, Favre also said he hasn’t intentionally delayed filing on his retirement papers with the league office. That’s not reason to suspect that he’s getting cold feet over retirement.

"To be honest with you, never having retired before, I didn't know you had to do that. But Bus (Cook, Favre's agent) and I were talking about it the other day. The Packers had to call. At some point, you have to do it so you don't count toward the (salary) cap.”
