Around the NFL
The New York Giants are not trying to trade Jeremy Shockey, says GM Jerry Reese. Nor is the team even willing to listen to offers for the former Pro Bowl tight end.
That’s what Paul Schwartz writes in today’s New York Post.
In his article, Schwartz says that the Giants turned down an a good offer from the Saints for Shockey – a second-round pick, plus safety Roman Harper. It doesn’t look like Shockey is going anywhere.
Rookie Kevin Boss did a nice job filling in last year after Shockey got hurt. Fantasy-wise, it will be significant whether Shockey stays with the team, because he’s more of a receiving threat, particularly in the red zone.
