Chad Johnson says he’s definitely through with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Responding to comments Carson Palmer made the Cincinnati Enquirer, Johnson told ESPN’s John Clayton that he doesn’t believe he’ll ever again play for the Bengals.
"I want to be traded before the draft, and if that doesn't happen, I want to be traded as soon as possible,'' Johnson said. "I don't intend on reporting to anything.''
Previously, Marvin Lewis took a harsh tone with Johnson, saying that the team has no intention of trading him and intends, in essence, to call Johnson’s bluff. The veteran receiver is under contract through 2011.
If the Bengals decide to move Johnson, there could be some teams interested. Philadelphia would like to add a playmaker, though it would have to decide if it were just bringing in another Terrell Owens, who quickly wore out his welcome. Or maybe Washington, Dallas, Baltimore or Tennessee. He should interest somebody.
Clayton’s article appears at Cincinnati.com.

Well, I know this is wishful thinking, but if I were the 49ers, I would consider trading their first round pick for his services. Yeah, he might not be a "fit" in the locker room, but he is better than any receiver in the draft (which I believe the 49ers will address). Just a thought.

As a 49ers fan I wouldn't mind having Chad Johnson, but with the uncertainty at quarterback, it sounds like a train wreck waiting to happen. His incessant whining is wearing thin on me, and as a cruel joke they should just trade him to the Dolphins.
