Kansas City has losingest coach

Posted Dec. 18 at 08:14 AM

Kansas City fired Todd Haley and plugged Romeo Crennel into that role. Now they have the losingest coach in the league – at least among guys who’ve coached 50 games.

Crennel only just took over this team, of course, but he previously served as the head coach of the Browns. He went only 24-40 in his four years in charge of that franchise.

That does not, of course, disqualify him from perhaps having a lot more success with Kansas City. A previous Cleveland coach, of course, went only 37-45 with that team, then went on to become generally regarded as the best coach in the league – Bill Belichick. Like Belichick, Crennel has had some success as a defensive coordinator.
